Dropped by based on reviews when I was in town for a few days hoping to find a few rare whiskey. Small store. It has it's own parking lot which is a big plus given the location. Selection of whiskey was just ok. Didn't find any rare whiskey I was hoping to score. What's most disappointing was the prices. Comparing to prices I know in California, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Texas, their prices were very high. For example a 15 year Macallan was $160 compare to $90 in Texas and around $100 elsewhere. And there were other examples. I guess it's high price of doing business in DC, maybe? Well, I didn't stay long in the store and went home empty handed.

Best liquor store in the DMV! super friendly staff and great prices. I live in VA but buy all my booze here.

Overwhelming number of choices. But the staff was eager to assist. We originally contacted them for a specific whiskey that we couldn't find very many places. We ended up leaving with some additional wine and beer.

Buy your wine here, get the card saying you bought it here, and go to the French restaurant a few doors down. No cork fee. Overall, best store to buy the goods on the Hill! They have a great beer selection that rotates and a solid wine and liquor selection. These guys know what they are doing.

Followed around the store as though I was a criminal. Every single item I considered purchasing I was "upsold" on, which was clearly an attempt to get me to buy slow moving crappy liquors. I've been a bartender for over 20 years and I know what I am looking for and what I want. When I need your "help" I will ask for it. In addition I have never in my life been followed around and treated as though I couldn't wait to pocket something. I was prepared to spend several hundred dollars however I became so annoyed and offended I just purchased the rye i came for and left. Won't return won't recommend to anyone I know or any of my guests.
