  Oh my gosh... What a place and the food is as good as it gets. Amazing service, the host, bartenders and staff leave no room for want.

  I was there with family -- seven of us. Quiet and comfortable environment. The food was great -- I had poached eggs with corned beef hash that was terrific.

  I have been going here for years - always a pleasure. Great service, amazing Italian food. If you like some spice, try the linguini and clams! It’s the best I have found in the last decade.

  Good meal in the heart of SF. Friendly staff who got us a table for 4 without a reservation. Meal good with attentive service... price ok too. Wife and kids happy although my risotto was not the best I'd had.

  Going to Scala's was a delight. My server was friendly and hilarious, making jokes with me about the menu, the ambiance, and the weather. The drink I got was phenomenal, as was the service. I tried going an adventurous route with my dinner choice-squid ink risotto. It wasn't my thing, but I think anyone more interested in Italian food would have enjoyed it immensely. I got a reservation on a weekday the day before even though there was a huge convention in town, though that may not be necessary in a normal weekday as the establishment is very large.
