I worked for SF DPW and was terminated by supervisors retaliating for trying to be a good worker. We are disaster workers in case of an emergency. This is supposed to be a great place to work. The supervisors I worked under made their own rules. No job ethics and no regard for our safety and the public. I was not paid for working through my breaks. The issue with breaks kept being brought up with the union and the issue with breaks was still being broken against union barging agreements. They did not provide us with work boots, to save money they gave us rain boots instead. They did not provide enough blue suits for protection against excrement. Safe practices was not practice here. I felt my supervisors abused their powers because we were probation workers. Workers here i feel are not valued with dignity jobs and this company has no respect for the Job ethics. Imagine I'm under the supervision of a man that takes pictures of the homeless naked and shows it off and has a kick out of it. This supervisor is disgusting and I strongly oppose this man being any type of a supervisor. These supervisors disregard safety practices for workers and public safety and not properly disposal of needles found in the streets. We did not get training on how to safely operate trailers and in connection to this a worker was almost seriously injured. I write this for the public for the government and for any workers thinking about working for this company. I will do YouTube videos and hand out flyers to all workers there to obtain to maximize full awareness of abuse. I wish I would have known the director has a open door policy. I was afraid like many workers on probation keeping quite, now I will be loader then I could imagine. Fair employment was not found for me or my coworkers.
