  From a self proclaimed seafood lover this place was awesome! My husband took the family here the day before mother's day, there still was a 20 minute wait, but well worth it. We'll be back soon.

  I came to City Island for first time on memorial. I was looking around for a nice place to eat some seafood. I went all the way down to Jhonny's reef avoid that place looks really ghetto and people with attitude walking around looking at you so avoid that place. I CAME to Sammy's I had a great time there food and drinks were good, so was the services too. A really decent place to eat and enjoy the moment. Kinda expensive but good.

  Great dining experience. The food was fresh and the service was great. The fried calamaris and fried shrimps were perfectly fried with just the right amount of batter. Visited with a party of 8 and had all the food arrived together and quickly. The food portion was worth the price.

  I was not happy with my experience at all. Me and my boyfriend went to eat here the other day. Everything was fine up until we got our dinner. It was the coconut and curry shrimp scampi. The pasta itself, was very bland. We had asked for garlic pasta and was given tasteless pasta. There was also no hint of curry in the shrimp whatsoever. We had to complain in order for the manager to compensate for the meal but it was still very disappointing and upsetting. I was excited to come back and try out other meals but after taking our food to go and realizing some of our food was missing and having to wait a long time for our payment to be taken, we do not wish to come back here ever again. Overpriced amateur food is what you'll be getting if you come here.

  This is my mom and aunt favorite seafood spot in city island. They love the huge portions of food and rave about the fish and shrimps. The restaurant is big and spacious but doesn't feel that way when it's crowded. There's plenty of parking options. The staff are friendly. The wait staff can be slow if it's crowded. Overall it's a great place to visit to enjoy some delicious seafood. For the non seafood lovers like myself they do offer non seafood options like ribs, chicken and steak.
