  Wore a two-week old pair of Allen Edmonds in for a shine & the guy insisted that I needed new heels. The heels are barely worn. He also got the oil that is used on the side of the sole all over my socks & left a big streak of it on the side of one of the shoes that I didn't notice until I got back to my office. Skip this place and go to Beehive Shoeworks on Wells.

  Brought in an item for repair.... First, they asked for payment up front ($20 and, yeah, I did pay it) and then they were going to do the repair one way (and let me see the material they chose before proceeding with the repair) but ended up deciding on their own to do the repair completely differently -- and wouldn't take a credit card payment in place of my cash "deposit" when I picked up the item (the company causing damage wanted to cover the charge that way). Seemingly simply customer service requests and expectations DENIED! NOT at all happy and NOT recommending to anyone. However, they *were* polite while NOT helping me and NOT doing what we discussed....
