This place holds a key to Chicago's rich history. Here you'll find an extensive assortment of antique (and unique) pieces of furniture, parts of buildings, doors, chandeliers, scrap metal-turned-art, along with thousands of other gems that have been salvaged from buildings throughout the city. Come here to see appliances, old technology, and artwork almost 100 years old, and found nowhere else. I had a great time exploring this place and seeing things people used in older times. Definitely worth a stop for the curious weekend warrior. Or, get married here! They use this building as a gorgeously unique chapel/reception hall and is sure to satisfy those urban/rustic vibes you've been looking for.

Salvage one always has unique items. It's really fun to explore the various floors and find items with a lot of character to add to your space.

Salvage One is an absolute gem of a venue! With incredible light and vintage furniture and other items available for your use everywhere, this 3 story warehouse is unique as can be and a playground for photographers (and your event!)! Not only is the antique store aspect neat, the exposed brick makes for a beautiful backdrop with just the right amount of character and the high ceilings make the space feel like a wonderland to be explored. Plus, the staff is kind and easy to work with. Dream come true. We can't wait to photograph here again!

Weird place. A lot of space, but only has giant items like an ornate pair of 9 ft elephants? Or a haggard 60s style bar? And the staff was non-existent. Beautiful as a reception hall, tho. I get why they do that.

It's a weird venue. It's interesting, but the first floor is an antique store which is odd for an event venue. The second floor is much better for an event. The bars were nice, but a bit slow. The staff isn't the best at handling loud guests, they ended up adding to the situation rather than helping anything. Overall it was an interesting experience...
