  I am truly going miss all the wonderful employees at Safeway located at 415 14th st. Kentucky Ave, SE. They closing to renovated the to the up coming development in the neighborhood. I have been a loyal customer for years there. I am truly heartbroken to see them close, I know it to improve, but it's like taken apart you away for good. John, Traci, Ms. Juanita, Sherri, the cashiers, the guys in produce and countless others who have come and gone through the years. I will miss you very much. Love a loyal customer.   As of February 2018, this Safeway location is on the verge of closing for renovation for ~2 years. It's in a very convenient spot for Capitol Hill residents, but is a bit cramped; this is precisely why they are redoing the store. I'm sad that I won't have the convenience of the Safeway for a couple years, but I'm excited to see what they look like during reopening!

  Always fresh food. Clean and well stocked. Be aware of the date displayed on sale pricing. Sometimes the date on the yellow tags has already passed and you'll be charged full price at the register.

  I have been shopping here for years. The people who have been there through the years is a bundle of amazing people who still work there. There dedication as workers are well appreciated from me as a loyal customer. Although some of the prices are still to high for certain products and they stop caring certain ones, it a good place and convenience place to shop.
