  A very nice place to shop. All the employees are happy and polite. The store is always clean and shelves are stocked.

  The rumor must be true -- Safeway admin told all stores its at their option whether to have an express lane. Purpose; drive people with few items to the self-check lanes. Problem; many handicapped people cannot use self-serve checks out lanes, as well as many seniors. You have handicapped parking spots, handicapped electric carts, but forgot to complete the process by giving people access to express lanes. The Milwaukie/Webster Road store has one express lane but rarely opens it (a clerk there confirmed the new policy and said the Webster Rd. management has no intention on using the express lane.) Please, reconsider your decision. The Gladstone has express lanes which have high customer volume. And please consider the handicapped and seniors, and open your express lane. Thank you.

  I bought some Chinese food from the deli last night. When I got home it was so hard and burned I couldn’t eat it. I spoke to the manager this morning (I believe her name was Jessica), and she completely replaced everything and then some. I’m very pleased.

  My Safeway store....and they finally have self checkout! I can walk there from home, they have a great organic produce section, substantial bulk section and standard meat, seafood and deli sections. If you get there late at night you might even get a little extra in the deli.

  This Safeway location has been very convenient for us in the neighborhood. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The selection is good and the store is always clean and well stocked. The only issue is the length of time in the line to check out... They recently added self check, which I am mixed about, but hopefully it will reduce the time in line...
