Lots of fun! We went to this zoo for Star Wars day. We had 4 year olds and two of them were Star Wars fans. They had a blast. It was exactly the right level for them. Lots of characters and sets to take pictures with. I would like to go back on a regular day. I think it really only takes a couple of hours to get through. I would go again. No elephants though.

We always enjoy the Sac Zoo! Great exhibits, well maintained grounds and a wide range of animals to see. From lemurs to lions the Sacramento Zoo makes for a wonderful family outing. Parking can be tricky during peaks season but there are a couple of good sized parking lots near if you don't mind walking.

It was fun! The kids had a blast! They enjoyed the carousel and they little train. On a kiddo's birthday if you ask they will give a free birthday pin. Its a cool souvenir.

The Sacramento Zoo is a great place to bring your kids. It is a small zoo, but you can tell that they are consistently making an effort to make improvements to the Zoo. Their renovations in the giraffe exhibit are great. There are still a number of areas that need attention but over all the zoo is clean and most of the animals seem to be in good shape. I recommend that you come on a Wednesday to take advantage of Wells Fargo Wednesday’s. Kids can visit free with a paid adult ticket. Parking is Free! Check it out this Spring.

Being from San Diego and experiencing the World Famous San Diego Zoo kind of ruins all other zoo experiences. Aside from this, the exhibits at this zoo are decent, but a bit small for the larger cats. They did have a cool train, carousel and play area for kids. Entrance was $24 for 1 child and 1 adult. Was a pretty good experience for the price of admission.
