  Ruumy’s on 53rd and hidden from 8th ave is absolutely worth it. We tried multiple menu items as pictured and each was delicious. The server’s suggestions were spot on as well. We weren’t going to order desert, but every other course was simply THAT good, that we had to out of morbid curiosity!

  We had a delicious meal at Ruumy’s tonight. A really great burger with the most amazing fries and a chicken pot pie. Both were outstanding. We started with a salad and also had really great dips with grilled bread and pickles vegetables. Chef Matt knows how to cook!! Waitstaff is so friendly and everyone wants to be sure that diners are comfortable and happy. Great for pre theater or anytime.

  This place was an amazing surprise! The flavors, textures, and menu rank right up there with all the Michelin Star restaurants we have visited. This chef is for sure up and coming and someone to keep your eye on. The service was wonderful. This is a must try restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

  Wow. Just wow. Looks like a local neighborhood spot, and it is. But it's so much more than that. Incredible New York style fare elevated to such a high level that is presented in such a thoughtful way. Nothing was left out. Good interior vibe, good music and good service top it off. This will be the type of place you can't get in to in 3 weeks, so go now. I will DEFINITELY be back. TIP* Order a Veg dish and prepare to be blown away.

  My girlfriend and I were walking around New York looking for some good food. After some lurking online we found Ruumy's Tavern and decided to give it a try. Walking in we were welcomed by multiple kind workers. The restaurant just felt right, it was nice and warm and the decor was insane. After being seated we looked at the menu; we were surprised by the huge choices we had for the wine and beer. We decided to have some beer and the burger. The beer was good, very smooth. The burger was crazy, very thick and I loved it; but what made that burger so special was the bacon. The bacon was very crispy and mixed very well with the cheese; easily the best burger I've ever had. After dinner we were offered some dessert, and we decided to chose the Caramelized Pear Napoleon, it was very big and tasted insane. It was sweet apples and pear with ice cream and some pastry. Everything was beautiful, will definitely be coming back here soon.
