  Downtown location is the best. The salad bar was disappointing. Poor quality.

  Good selection and prices. I think the employees play a game in which the first person to speak to a customer loses. Proud to say that I've been there multiple time and have only met winners. So if you're a-social or just don't want to be bothered, shop here.

  I place large catering orders with the deli here for staff training. Food is usually nice and hot, and they have a good selection of local favorites and comfort food. Also very affordable for large orders. Can take awhile for them to get to you if they're busy, which they usually are, so give yourself an extra 15-30 minutes if you're picking up for an event. They'll load up everything into your cart for checkout at the front registers, and there's usually someone in the parking lot who offers to help load into your car.

  Rouses is the largest and most comprehensive grocery store in the Uptown area. Prices are what you would expect for a dedicated grocery store, with good rotating sales for the planning shopper. Selection is the best in the Uptown area, so check here first for harder-to-find items. We have not used the deli so cannot comment on it. Meats and produce are good quality and fresh.

  Rouses is the best! They have a huge selection, a lot of stuff you won't find at Whole Foods or Winn- Dixie. Especially well stocked with Louisiana made and Cajun products. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. The prepared food is all high quality in my experience. Above average rotisserie chicken. Decadent but affordable hot bar. Wonderful bakery and selection of desserts. Everything I would want in a grocery store.
