  Food & drink are at no shortage in this grocery store. You're greeted by the drink at the entrance (adult drinks). Some noted select picks for this location would be fresh veggies and prepared meals. The staff is friendly and helpful for the most part. The pricing doesn't beat Wal-Mart, but the service does any day. In short, you get what you pay for and Rouses service at this location is worth difference.

  I called to simply get a price on strawberries. I dialed the extension for produce, and the woman who answered said she didn't know the price and that I needed to dial produce... she put me on hold and never returned to the phone. The exact same thing happened when I called the Gretna location. I called Robérts and instantly got a price. Please do better, Rouses.

  I love Rouses because it has that Louisiana feel, but when somethings on sale it range up the regular price and it happens Every time I buy like this

  Interesting grocery store to shop at. They're only problem is customer service. People working the service desk and some of the girls on the registers can't manage a hello, goodbye or thank you.

  The store director (Jeff H.) was bagging groceries at register. Evidently, he did not want to be doing this particular task. Understandable, but whatever feelings or bias he may have with whatever is going on in his world should not have affected my shopping experience. After he bagged my three small items, he THREW my bag at me. He didn’t hand it to me! He didn’t drop it in my hand (which was outstretched)! He didn’t forcefully sit it down! HE THREW IT!! I stood shocked for roughly a minute. He did not once acknowledge me. Not with a hand gesture nor eye contact. I go to this Rouses often as it is close to my house. I use to only go to Walmart and/or Winn Dixie but decided to support local produce and businesses. I will not be shopping at Rouses again and I will advise as many people as I can to not patronage Rouses as well. It’s absurd and disheartening that Rouses would even employe someone who would even do this.To employ is one thing, but this man is literally the face of the Algiers Rouses; both literally and figuratively and he is a disrespectful moron! I’d expect low grade customer service like this from a cashier who is in high school but not your Store Director! As a matter of fact, I have had incidents where the floor staff were not so pleasant but nothing so upsetting and degrading like this. I would have rather him shout out an obscenity. I would have rather the cashier sit my money down verses putting it in my hand. But for ANYONE to throw something at me like I am an animal is unacceptable! As stated before, I will not return to this Rouses but I do believe it’s important that Rouses addresses this situation! I do not know Jeff. I have never seen him before in my life meaning he would have no reason to do something so nasty to me. However, if he would throw things at me, he’d more than likely do it to someone else. Perhaps someone who won’t be calm enough to contact the store!
