Not sure why anyone dines here. I was hoping our first visit (2year ago) was a fluke, and we went on a bad evening. Nope, food was mediocre at best. Red Chile was not prepared well. Meat cubed like a bad Swanson TV dinner. Chips on the table are right out of the Walmart bag. Prices are double that of better Mexican restaurants in Tucson, and triple that of much better dining in Mexico. Sorry but with literally hundreds of great restaurants in Tucson to choose from, this ain't on the list.

I've tried Rosa's twice now within an 18 month span of time and I simply cannot recommend it. I had the carne seca my first visit and it had an off putting flavor akin to fish. This last visit I had the taco plate with chicken and beef tacos. The beef was flavorful. The chicken was not. The beans tasted of old oil and had a burnt undertone and the rice was flavorless. Everything was doused in oil, not grease...oil. With all of the other amazing choices for authentic Mexican fare that Tucson has to offer, do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

What happen to Rosa's? Horrible meal, rude service and expensive. REALLY $7 for a cup of soup; bowl $9; menudo $11. Green chili is watery ground beef.....RIP off.

Some delicious food we enjoyed were tacos, enchiladas, tamales, rice, beans, & sopapillas. Wait staff was attentive but 1 was not friendly. Another server was trying to be overly nice to make up for the other server. I would recommend this place & I would eat here again.

Really good Mexican comfort food. Nothing fancy here. Bobby Flay would probably not be impressed. Again, think SIMPLE. Hands down, the best salsa I've ever had anywhere. The chicken and bean chimi's are delicious, very simple, but just plain good. They really should brand their salsa. I'd love to be able to find this at a grocery store, where you can't find a decent salsa to save your life: Too sweet, too thick, too chunky, an American gringo interpretation of Mexican salsa. Rosa's salsa is just what it should be.
