  Rosa's attention to detail and her lively personality is a great reminder of why I like to support small businesses. You just can't get this at big chains because the work is outsourced and the connection you wish to experience as a community is lost. Aside from her work being top notch prices are reasonable. Recommend it.

  Worst experience ever! I brought a black floor length dress into Rosa to be shortened. Rosa told me she could alter the dress and it would be ready in a few days as i needed it for a wedding. She charged me $106! I went to pick up the dress, it was a complete disaster. The dress had 3 layers and each layer was a different length and width. She left chalk all over it. She sewed the side of the dress and it was all bunched and sewn incorrectly. The worst part, the dress all of a sudden didnt fit. She never measured the dress and tapered the sides so small i couldnt get it over my hips! I went back for a refund since now she butchered my dress and I had to pay her $106 and go buy a new dress for another $150. She refused to give me back my money, had a nasty attitude then tried to lie and say she didnt sew my dress that way. I guess it sewed itself? Anyway, do yourself a favor and refrain from visiting this dump! Not a nice woman and definitely not a good business woman!

  I called Rosa and asked her when would be a good day to come in and she told me whenever. I went to her on a Saturday morning. I explicitly told her before going into the fitting room that I would need help getting it on. It's quite the dress. She gave me a "mmhmm" and led me to a tiny room." As I took my clothes off I noticed several boxes on the floor and hooks all over the ways for hanging things. Lot's of weird things. It looked more like a storage space. I peeked through the curtain and reminded her that I would need some help getting my dress on and waited. She hardly acknowledged me and never arrived. I finally managed to get my dress on on my own. When I told her I was ready that's when she finally came in to the tiny fitting room. She pointed out that my dress had torn. GEE I WONDER WHY WITH ALL THE BOXES AND THEIR SHARP CORNERS AND THE HOOKS AT ODD LEVELS ON THE WALL!!!! The dress was brand new, inspected, and never previously worn. She was adamant that I had brought the dress in like that and that it had nothing to do with the condition of the tiny jagged fitting room. In the end I decided to let it go since there was a chance that the tear could be covered up by the applique once the dress has been cut. Anyhow, fast forward to exactly one month later, on the exact date when she told me to come back....THE SHOP WAS CLOSED. Decided to shop around for another more responsible seamstress.

  I am happy to recommend Rosa's Alterations. Rosa has been my seamstress of choice for five years. She provides exceptional, personable, and reasonably-priced service. And the quality of her work is superb. You're in good hands if Rosa is your seamstress.
