  I have booked exclusively with Choice Hotels for years. This was, by far, the worst experience we have had. The building is falling apart. The furniture was old and had cigarette burns in a non smoking room. The ceiling was crumbling in the shower. The walls were patched and paint didn't match. Outside there were obvious drug deals and we were propositioned by "working girls". It was disgusting. Then when I complained, the staff was rude and refused to refund me. Do not waste your money. Stay somewhere else.

  It is what it is. A 60s-70s motor lodge that appears to have been updated with furnishings from other hotels. Paint and carpet is fairly new. It's not pristine but was clean. I went as far as pulling the sheets back. There was a zippered mattress cover, quilted mattress cover, then sheets. Enough of a barrier for me. It was a place to sleep and I saved a hundred bucks. The NCAA Tournament was in town and all the hotels I usually stay in were full and/or charging 60% more than normal. If the family was with me I would have stayed somewhere else.

  The lady at the reception desk was very nice, but in the 45 minutes we stayed there we were witness to severe domestic violence, aggressive harassment, and what I can only imagine was gang activity above us from the hand signs they were showing. Very scary. If you’re brave enough then go for it, but I suggest going elsewhere. I did get half of the $87 back that I paid for the room. We found something cheaper and less violent further out from downtown.

  You get what you pay for. Cheap motel nothing fancy. Beds were clean, but the mattress were horrible and lumpy.
