  I first had Rita’s when I lived in Philadelphia. If you’ve never tried Rita’s Italian Ice, you’re in for a treat. It’s extremely smooth, served fresh (within 36 hours of mixing), and full of flavor. Their frozen custard and ice cream options are very delicious, too. They’ve incorporated a lot of other options at their locations over the years. You’ll see gelati, misto, blendini, cakes, and cookies. If it’s your first time, try the classic Italian Ice. They have lots of interesting flavors like Cantaloupe, Swedish Fish, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Island Fusion, and Florida Orange. My favorite is the Cotton Candy. If you want the classic signature flavor, get the Cherry one. Be sure to sample the flavors in store. Whichever flavor you choose, you’ll have a nice, cold treat to enjoy.

  They are just now setting up. The doors were suppose to be unlocked at 2. There was no apologize for the tardy opening or any communication with the customers.

  Friendly staff expect female manager. She does know how to use thw gift cards while the employees don't. The menu is pretty pricey, but the staff are helpful in first timers choices

  Tasty flavored ice on a hot DC summer day - everything a body needs, even a trip down memory lane, courtesy of the Disney channel movies on their TV!

  Gotta love Rita's. Great custard and Italian ices and nice atmosphere. The seats are tight and the place could be a bit bigger though.
