I've used Rico's twice- once for new grey cushions for a sofa built-in. They were pricey and it took awhile, but totally worth it. Cushions turned out beautifully with piping all around. Perfect! The fabric Patti suggested was spot on. The second time we brought them a pretty BIG challenge... to recover our beloved UP5 chair. They had a hard time finding a fabric that would stretch enough and it took over two months, (we really wanted hot pink, but it was hard to find in 4-way stretch fabric) the delay was mainly due to the specialty fabric we needed. They reinforced the foam and now the chair is soft as ever and we just love it and will keep it forever. I would work them again anytime. Just know it will take a long time & it will not be cheap. But you will love your end result!! And with upholstery, you get what you pay for. These guys are talented and worth the wait. If you have a Gaetano Pesce UP5 chair, now they can do them!!

I brought these guys an outdoor equipment repair. They completed it on the spot and very affordably. I'll be back for sure.

Sadly I had a terrible experience with this business. Around the first of September 2016, I dropped off a wooden arm chair and 5 yards of fabric for Rico's to make two rectangular cushions and a fabric pad to sit between the bottom cushion and the springs. I was told it would take 3 weeks to complete. Well this never happened despite numerous phone calls and drop in's to their business. In December 2016, I was told my chair was ready and went to pick it up. Well it wasn't complete per my written contract with them. Also I had paid in full at this visit to the shop as I thought it was complete until I lifted up the seat cushion and saw the spring pad not completed. I was told to give it a week and the chair would be done. Again this did not happen despite numerous calls and excuse after excuse. In late December 2016 when I called Rico's, I was told that they were re-placing a part of the seat spring which was never mentioned until now and they were waiting for a part to arrive and this would be about a week. About 3 weeks after that I stopped in to pick up my chair, it was not complete. I told them I was taking it with me as is. I was told that the part they needed wasn't in yet. I attempted to find out what they were talking about and found out it needed an eye hook which can be purchased at any hardware store. Before walking out the door, I remembered to grab the remaining fabric. I saw my fabric being used on someone else's project in the work area. They initially argued with me saying it wasn't mine. I told them that it was a special order fabric and that they didn't carry JoyBird products. After they looked for my remaining fabric it couldn't be found and they finally admitted to making a mistake after I threatened to get the Better Busness Bureau and police involved. Rico's was using a fabric I paid for another customer's project without my permission. Rico's agreed to pay me for 2 yards of fabric that they had zero permission from me to use on someone else's project. I would never never use this business again and was completely fed up with their lying. I generally want to support local businesses but I have zero respect for this one and its workers.

I found Rico's after I read a review that mentioned work done on an antique chair. The shop is out of my neighborhood but very easy to find and I am so happy that I made the effort. I have had three projects done by the shop and all were done beautifully, with real skill and attention to detail. I appreciated the care the workroom gave to an antique fabric. I also had some rather complicated curtains altered and the fit was perfect. Rico's suggestions were invaluable and he and his staff are a pleasure to speak with The entrance to Rico's is a little chaotic but the beauty is in the results. I would recommend them to anyone. My favorite discovery since I came to Denver.
