  They recently removed lots of machines and free weights to open up a large space for a pseudo cross fit area. For such a small gym, you can't be all things to all people. This redesign was a poorly considered move. And sadly on any given day, this newly created open space is pretty much empty and the reduced weight area is packed. Plus, it's difficult to move around the weights and machines as they are right on top of one another. (one would easily win a law suit if they got hurt in these cramped quarters) I included a pic of the calf machine completely blocking the pull-up/leg raise apparatus. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. If you are any sort of weight lifter, you cannot join this gym.

  My husband got ring worm! delicious. Make sure to wipe your machines and wash your hands! Absolutely disgusting.

  Turning into a planet fitness, cross fitness wanna be. Cramp, no room to work out resulting in members always bumping into each other. Equipment is limited and always in need of maintenance. I attend only because it's closest to me. If you can avoid, highly recommend you do so. Update: I have previously complain about the equipment but to no avail. And now one actually broke while I was using it. Bringing it to management's attention did not regard the incident as anything to be concern about nor was my safety. I was never asked if I was injured. My report was simple acknowledged and I was summarily dismissed. Once again, I continue to waste my money there out of convenience, nothing else. I have a tight scheduled and this place saves time. The free weight area continue to be neglected and cramped. Equipments are scarce, when they are in working order. Almost all of the cables on the cable machines sticks which will eventual result in SPI.

  Retro fitness sucks!!!! I’ve been trying to pay for and then cancel my daughters membership for months. My debit card was hacked so I had to get a new number and before I realized , it was delinquent for a couple of months. I tried to do it online or call but that’s not possible, after its delinquent you must go in and pay. Now it’s in collection so I showed up to pay and cancel and i can’t pay there because it’s in collection. So I asked , if I paid on the phone to the collection agency now and give you the confirmation number then you can cancel it? Nope.... In fact I can’t get confirmation that her membership is canceled for five days after I make the payment. So I asked the manager if he would just sign a note verifying that if I make the payment to the collection agency and call or return with the confirmation number in five days that he would cancel the relationship and he adamantly refused! Refused to put in writing only what he was telling me is the policy!! I’m not so comfortable giving my new debit card information. I will send a check, the old fashioned way I guess but BEWARE if you ever want to quit the gym!!! 😡

  I would not recommend this gym to anyone. My friend came with me one day to show me how to use some of the very intimidating weight equipment and the manager accused her of being my personal trainer, he was so rude with the way he addressed her that she wanted to leave. I called to speak with him to address his behavior and all he could tell me was there were signs all over the gym and that another retro fitness was sued and lost because of a situation like this. In all honesty being in customer service this could have been handled in a manner with more respect. Not once has he apologized for his behavior, I asked to cancel my membership and have been denied. I have asked to speak with the owners and have not received a call. I have no desire to work out in a facility that is rude to its members and guest.
