I contacted Tom about a dangerous situation at a stop light in my area near the Ala Moana mall. Tom listened, IMMEDIATELY took action and solved the problem. What more could you ask for in a representative?

I agree with you on your remedy for homeless situation. I think the vagrancy laws should be installed. Otherwise they will continue to come from the mainland to here as they will survive the winter. TheMajority are from the mainland and not local people

Wow, what a total jerk. We have been considering a trip to Hawaii, Tahiti or New Zealand for next summer. Tom Brower helped me decide which location to mark off the list. So, to Tom Brower, thanks? Really dude? You're attacking and harassing homeless people??? What is wrong with with you, and what happened in your childhood to make you such a jerk? Many homeless people sleep during the day because they have to stay awake at night to protect themselves. And, YOU are one of the people they have to worry about attacking them. I sincerely hope that the next sleeping person you yell at gets up and beats your ass. You're a bully and a discredit to your state. And, if Karma is alive and well in Hawaii, someone will show his property the same respect he show that of other.

Absolutely disgraceful. You could have chosen to quietly volunteer at a shelter or church and, however briefly, help some people less fortunate than yourself. Instead, you destroyed the sole possessions and conveyances of a group of people living on the edge of despair and in poverty in some bizarre macho display. Well that backfired, didn't it? You should be ashamed of yourself. If you are ever in a position where you are dependent on the help, compassion and empathy of a stranger, I hope there's karma enough in the universe that one of the homeless people whose meager lives you destroyed is in a position to give you succor and support, and show you what true humanity is.

Representative Brower, I recently read a disturbing account of your attack on the homeless, rather than the more nuanced causes of homelessNESS. I believe you act with the best intentions for your state: homelessness is a problem that everyone should be motivated to face. But please consider the harm of your approach, and the implications of your actions. Those without homes are vulnerable people who have been cast out by the social and governmental system you have been elected to help maintain. Please put down your weapon and offer a helping hand to those in need, not a hammer. I am from North Dakota, and cannot lend a physical hand to the homeless in your area. But I am making a donation to a local Honolulu homeless shelter. It's not much, but I believe it is more helpful than the blows of a hammer. Please consider other ways to help these people.
