  Hotel is almost done with renovations. Did not have any noise issues and was very quiet. Rooms and halls seem to be 50% or more complete. Beds were very comfortable, and our room had some partial updates, lighted mirror in bath and updated shower. Front desk was very accommodating and friendly. Pool area was all brand new and beautiful—great area for photos in the evening with the LED lighted fountains and palms. They had decent breakfast in club level. Hotel when we booked was also reasonably priced in line with construction. Only reason this was four stars was no restaurants were available and bar at pool was extremely limited and didn’t really have any drinks. No Tito’s, or basic mixers. When this hotel is complete it will be an easy 5 star.

  The entrance area looks nice, and the front desk staff were pleasant; the water station is a nice touch. I had multiple issues regarding my room though. Don’t accept a room next to the elevator, even though they call it “executive suite” - the noise is pretty bad. Then they said they didn’t have any other rooms, but when I indicated I’d have to find a different hotel as I needed some good sleep for an important meeting, they suddenly had 3 rooms for me to choose from. They didn’t put me in the one I chose though, but a fourth room - and it ended up having ants.

  I was really disappointed with my stay here. Especially with how pricey this locations is. First, the few good things: the lobby was clean and smelled nice. The pool area was absolutely lovely with nice cabanas. The tiki bar will be a nice addition when it’s done (so much construction right now). However, beyond that I don’t have much good to add. The rooms are clearly outdated with some modern touches to try to hide their age. (Didn’t work). The toiletries were very low quality. When I arrived it was my birthday so I tried to call room service to have a celebratory drink. No one answered. So I tried again. Nothing. I tried the front desk. It rang and rang and rang. Nothing. Tired again, this time you could hear someone pick up and hang up. 15 minutes went by with no answer. I went to the front desk to ask about ordering a beverage. They said they had no staff who could do that and handed me a sheet with a list of local options (many of which were just fast food). None were places they could deliver a drink. Later when I tried to retrieve baggage early in the morning the front desk staffer was asleep or watching a movie on his phone laying on a lobby couch. For how boring this location is and now much the hotel costs, I’d recommend finding somewhere else. I very much didn’t enjoy my stay here.

  exceptional staff: Andy checked me in at front desk, greeted me with a smile and friendly hello every time I saw him. Lisa at the front desk was just as friendly and professional at front desk also. Fernando bartender was fun and just a really happy person! Donald and Rachel in housekeeping greeted me when I saw them in the hall and asked each time if I needed anything else. Rose on the 5th floor concierge/food/snacks was so accommodating and kind.

  4 star is a bit of a stretch. A moderate 3 star is more like it. The establishment is doing much needed renovations, but it seems to only be to their amenities (pool, restaurant, etc) and an expansion in their parking lot area. They need to strategically phase renovations to the common areas and the rooms too. The aesthetics were nice at one point, but are starting to show major signs of wear. The cleaning in the room is decent, but there is no attention to details (mold/ mildew stains in walk-in shower, etc). The parking lot is super scary at nighttime. There are no lighting, no guards, lots of construction, and a good distance (not straight shot) from the entrance. Did have a major issues throughout stay. On day one, the lights went out for hours overnight (breaker issue). On day two, I woke up to the deafening sound of the fire alarm blaring. The fire team came out. We all went back in and the alarm went off AGAIN no even 30 minutes later. Police showed up because this was caused by negligence of a few local college kids that are housed at the hotel. The kids have been wreckless my whole stay. The fitness center is open though and it's nice so that's a great win for me. The staff is super friendly and helpful!
