  Parking lot is full of potholes, including one that I literally could not see the bottom of. The room had a “no smoking” sticker on the mirror and an ashtray on the bedside stand. Clearly, previous guests believed the ashtray instead of the sticker, because the room reeked of smoke. The bathroom door didn’t latch, no matter how hard I closed it. The rooms and hallways are dim and gloomy and there is a lot of damage visible. When I complained, the clerk sent me to check a second room, which also stank. He sent me to a third room, which turned out to be already occupied. The fourth room did not stink, and the bathroom door worked, so we moved into it. This was the first room where I saw a fridge. The compressor was noisy and the freezer compartment desperately needed to be defrosted.

  Wish I could put negative stars. DO NOT STAY HERE! Worst staff experience I ever encountered. Our lights didn't work, door didn't lock, nastiest bathroom I've ever seen, incompetent staff, people smoking marijuana in the hotel, literally saw a dog peeing in the hall way, homeless people roaming the building, various unfinished maintenance projects. I laid down in the bed and never felt so gross in my life, when I got up noticed their was mold next to my face. Next level of grossness - yikes.

  The room had a horrible urine smell and there was visable feces on bathroom floor. When I said something at the front desk they handed me a can of spray. There were cockroaches crawling all over the microwave! I left my belongings in the car and slept in the clothes I had on and I only did that because I was exhausted. Got up and out early! Overall disgusting!!

  Great staff and always felt safe late at night and leaving nice things in my room while I slept somewhere else. The breakfast is pretty bad but for the price, it's a no brainer for people looking to stay on budget.

  The staff was wonderful... I was in KC for my son's funeral and the staff knew that, my brother booked the room since I was coming to town per train. When I got to register for my room the staff gave me condolences right off the bat. It made me fill welcome and that someone cared. The room was very clean and smelled wonderful... The morning breakfast was nice too. When I went to my son's funeral as I was leaving, the front desk lady was kind enough to ask me if I would like some pocket tissues... I said yes please. It was very kind of her to do that for me. When I returned my room had been cleaned. I will definitely stay here again....
