  I missed a flight connection due to weather delays and was able to stay at the Red Lion on last minute notice. The staff were really cordial which was definitely welcome after the day I had. The rooms were comfortable and I liked the little locally based toiletries. I had to get up extremely early for my rescheduled flight but I was grateful for the 4 hours of sleep I was able to get on a nice, soft bed.

  The saving grace of the hotel was the shuttle to the airport. When I checked in the lady was disinterested as anyone can be. She didn't seem to want to be at work, she was rude to one of her coworkers. He was letting her know that one of the rooms was ready to be rented. She didn't want to talk to him. Once I got to the room, I found a beer bottle top by the bed on the floor. So they don't vacuum well or look by the bed for little things that may have been dropped. Once I got up to leave it had to wait to check out. Finally a lady came out. She was more pleasant than the first one. The shuttle driver was nice and informative. The only upside.

  The place we originally booked for our long weekend in Portland turned out to be a crack den and infested with bed bugs. We got ourselves out of there (thank god for pay-later), and contacted Red Lion to see if we could get a last minute room for the weekend. The manager on duty answered my wife's call and saved our entire trip. The staff were friendly and informative, and most importantly the room and entire hotel was VERY clean by any hotel standards. We are going to be checking with Red Lion on every road trip we take now. Thank you so much for your help!

  Good location, quick to airport or downtown. One whole side of the hotel has parking lot being torn out. Waking up to multiple large tractors and dumptrucks just outside your window (with no warning) is highly unpleasant and made a fair price suddenly far more than the room is worth.
