  They don't call it a "bowl of the best" for no reason. I like mine with noodles, beans, onions, sour cream, cheese and a good dosenm of the hot vinegar.

  Milwaukee classic. Get all the fixings. Don't be scared to use the spiced up vinegar. Ask for more crackers if you need them.

  I've been going to real chili for more than 30 years. It's truly a milwaukee tradition and I often bring out of town guests here when I can too. It's hard to describe what makes this so great. It's certainly not the atmosphere, I don't think the place has been updated in 30 years. Maybe that is the key. Like an old comfortable sweater you know what you are going to get. The chili is the star. You can build your bowl a-la-cart choosing heat level (determined by how much meat you get) beans, spaghetti and other accompaniments. If you've never gone, give it a shot. Ask for a bumper sticker and check one off your milwaukee bucket list.

  Been coming here since my mom stopped in for chili dogs after her prenatal check ups during her pregnancy with me! Guess that brings in a bit of bias, but you're hard pressed to find a customer without bias for this place. It's managed to stay true to its mission: damn good food for a fair price. The vibe is familial, whether it's your first or 5000th time there. It's a Milwaukee staple, and I hope it's around for good!
