Ralph's Pharmacy is a full sevice pharmacy that is similar to other large pharmacies, such as CVS - commonly found in Target stores. I didn't find it much different than most other pharmacies that one finds within large supermarkets and department store chains. They are in the stores for the convenience of the customers who shop at Ralph's full sized supermarket. The supermarket is a beautifully arranged corridor of "market aisles" and each directs you to - each and every one - of your shopping necessities. I go to this market to buy the "old fashioned pudding" that I cook, using only low fat milk and a box of pudding ; it tastes far better than "instant pudding" and there is an art to cooking it... My mother used to use this mind of pudding, when I was a little boy - about 60 years ago, long before manufacturers developed instant pudding : one had to cook it slowly, because if it got too hot, it would "burn" and taste like "burnt pudding." I used to like to eat it when it was still warm : a large 8oz. to 12oz. box made four to six - 6oz. cups - and I'd eat most of them before they cooled down... Ralph's usually has a good stock of all five flavours of this type of pudding ; often at very low prices. This store also has a good selection of fresh fish ( Remember when fish was the cheapest product that one could get in the "fish section" and now, the best brands of fresh "wild caught fish" are more expensive than a filet minion. They also have a nice selection of "select meats," as well as a good deli and other foods. Don't get fooled, as Ralphs has some really good sales ; these are often posted in the local newspapers and especially in the Thursday and Sunday editor's edition of the Los Angeles Times. The sales associates are very helpful: One day I needed a roll of guarters and I had tried at least eight stores ; I couldn't even get a cashier to give me just a few and when I finally ended up at the Sports Arena Ralph's, the manager had a box full of them...the point being, that it was on a Sunday and I actually thought that perhaps, the store cashiers thought that I was a homeless man, who needed "laundry money," when I was actually a journalist looking for a story. Who I was and what people thought I was, should have made no difference ; I had the money and most of these large stores usually have a safe full of "coin change," especially on the weekends. In mh opinion, they made a judgment call, based on the way I looked ; a couple of good stories for their corporate headquarters. Was it worth my time? Yes and no...Why? Go figure?¿ The associates were very customer orientated and that is one thing that I look for, whenever I shop at a particular store.

Pharmacy staff is excellent... Ralph's in general is ok but i don't like the fact they locked down the restrooms and inconvenience the customers because there's too may hobos making a mess and stealing..if you need to use the restroom you have to track down someone to let you in... one of the managers told me he would text me the code for the door...pretty laughable... tells you anything you want to here ...

A Ralph's with plenty of parking, always excellent prices, and easy in and out. Vs. Mission Valley, Hilcrest, or Downtown this is the Ralphs to goto. It's been recently renovated and has all you'll need. Make sure to go online and sign up for the digital coupons you want was well.

Great store, great staff, and clean! The old one on Balboa was getting pretty ghetto and it clearly rubbed off on the staff who weren't all too enthusiastic to work there. I wouldn't be, either. In the new remodeled SA store it's clear the staff take pride in keeping it nice! I was very upset to see our Ralph's go away, and surprised when they only relocated a couple miles away. Definitely will continue to shop here.
