  Steer clear of dental scams happening at this office! I had been going to Rafia Dental for over 9 years and on my last cleaning/check up the hygienist told me I needed root planning. This was out of the blue as all of my previous cleaning always showed my gums as healthy and normal. I decided this sounded off, so I went to get a second opinion at another dentist and was told my gums were completely normal and I had no gum disease issues at all. I looked up dental scams online and this is one of the biggest things out there in the world of dentistry. Everyone should obviously have regular checkups and cleanings and necessary dental work done, but this experience left be disheartened to say the least. My trust in Dr. Rafia and his practice has been destroyed. I will be taking all of my dental needs elsewhere.

  Really love this dental practice. They are always on time, thorough, and very friendly. The hygienists are professional and do a great job. I see Dr Rafia and my husband sees Dr Young. We both really enjoy our dentists and will continue care with them for the long haul. Beautiful, clean clinic. Highly recommend. Doesn’t hurt that Dr Rafia is from Ohio and is a fellow Buckeye :)

  Always a great experience with Doc Raffia. Friendly, state of the art equipment and always gets me in quickly when needed; just so happened I chipped my tooth and he was able to get me in next day and when I did similar chip last year they got me in same day as I was in some discomfort with that one. Bonus that my insurance covers my visits to him as I would pay to go to him if not.

  I have been seeing Dr. Rafia since I moved to the Portland area more than 6 years ago. He and his staff are excellent. I am always treated very well by everyone when I come in. The environment is so relaxing that I've even fallen asleep in the chair while getting work done. (I know, I'm an oddity, but I think of the dentist like it's going to a spa for your teeth.) A part of the reason I love this office so much is the knowledge that Dr. Rafia and team spend a part of each year volunteering in other countries bringing dental services to those who might not otherwise have access. It's so great! I have recommended Rafia Dental to friends and will continue to do so.
