::Kind of a dive, right off Frenchmen St, so lots of tourists but no love music. Relatively cheap drinks, and a projector screen showing episodes of Planet Earth make it a fun hang. There's also a spin-the-wheel game for choosing a shot, so it definitely has a party vibe of some kind.

::The local bar in New Orleans. Good Guinness and great service. Pool table and that homey feel you want in a bar. Located right next to frenchmen street.

::This is a great spot for those who want to go to New Orleans and not stay *in* the French Quarter but still be close and in a great area. Frenchman is right around the corner, and the French Market is a straight shot. It's a really unique place as it's a bar primarily. You literally check-in with the bartenders, but me they are awesome! The manager Adam was extremely accommodating and they provide a sheet with weekly events and their hand picked suggestions for food and entertainment. Stayed in the Storyville room. Could not even hear the bar below. Shared balcony is amazing and we met several cool fellow guests. It was also nice to have local friends come up and hang out, people watch, and enjoy cocktails from the bar. Highly suggest their frozen drinks. They also now have the option for resident tags for street parking for only $15/night. That was a life saver.

::The carousel bar was unique and they were playing live music. The bar itself was too busy to experience the rotating portion but I was able to enjoy a good drink while standing.

::Loved this place but giving it a one star from my last experience. Friday October-27 at 5:30pm. I called the bartender “baby”, which is a common term in New Orleans, and I was told by the bartender that her name was not “baby”. Someone should educate this stranger to New Orleans. I blame the bar management for not filling their bar tenders on the term. It is a sweet term here in New Orleans, I am a man and called this every day and from people who know my name. It is used for both men and women (I am a man). I hear this all the time and I am called honey and darling all the time by locals. This is not a bad thing here. Use the term it usually means you are local. Disappointing that the R-bar does not understand or accept locals. Maybe people from either places don’t like it but the terms used here are gender neutral but they don’t understand us. Get with it and train your people. The saddest thing would be to lose the culture that exists in this city. I have been call baby by women since my first day in NOLA and to lose that would be wrong. Let’s not lose the culture that brought you out of towers here. How do “babe” become a bad term in NOLA. I love it when people say that to me. Makes me feel like I am back home. Don’t let people who are dissed from where they were ruin this place. Maybe you should hire locals. They would give the real experience. Just confined my story at a local place. The people at Bayou Beer Garden calmed me “baby” when I walked in the door and I am a man.. Local place and know how to treat people.
