This is quite possibly the worst library I have ever visited in my life. The book selection encompasses Russian language books with a sprinkling of Spanish language books and a pathetic English language section. There is a corner for children’s books, which is bare, to say the least. There are relics like Encyclopedia Britannica and VHS movies. I arrived at the library at 4:45 PM on a Saturday. At 4:50, they started turning off the lights without announcements and when I went to the restroom, was told it was closed. I will never return to this location and it is sad to see that this is what my tax dollars go towards. I’m not a complainer usually, but this was just so bad, I couldn’t hold back. I would give it zero stars if I could.

Overall it seems like a nice place but I only stayed for 5 minutes. I just moved to NY for school and because I don't know proof of residence I could not use their WiFi so I was forced to leave. I was so upset because I have a huge exam to study for and I needed a quiet place close to home! It is a public library and its resources should be available for use to all! I don't understand the restriction at all. I exist, I have a valid ID, albeit, from another state. It was ridiculous. I won't ever be coming back here even when I get a valid NY ID.

This library is small but offers interesting programs like chair yoga and meditation classes. The community room is welcoming with a glass wall overlooking the street. The manager is very helpful and accommodating. He always takes time to answer my questions. Overall, my experiences have been positive with the staff.
