  Gahhh they had an “I Love my HBCU” event on Cinco de Mayo that me and my friends had pre-purchased tickets for. Long story short, the “day party” was a bust. They were true on their word about having food there though, and since there were literally six other people in the club we didn’t struggle to get a decent serving🤷🏾‍♀️

  Love the owner. It's like family there. Great place to shoot a music video. Great live performances.

  Nice atmosphere and a great plce for shows. Bartender was friendly. Music was updated and at a good level. Venue was amazingly put together. Great staff and management. Our group really enjoyed our experience at this location. I would recommend it to customers and fellow promoters alike. Much success is wished by all. RealityMusic

  *sigh* I was trying to find a decent black place on u street besides Marvin’s. I found the bouncers at Pure to be extremely rude and distasteful. Completely ruined the whole night. Back to Marvin’s I go.

  Just too much. If you want a grungy, flashing light party feel, maybe this is the place for you? But I certainly wasn't impressed. Bar service was also terrible. When I finally got my drink, was told I couldn't put it on my friends tab because he'd opened with a different server (at the same bar!). Absolutely ridiculous. He literally had to bribe her.
