::I absolutely love the location of this library, but with that being said nobody comes to the library to just enjoy the views. People come there to read , research and do work. This is where this library seems to have a problem with. For some reason, they have an attitude that the library patrons are just some kind of peasants and they are like ruling over us. The WiFi signal at this location is so weak and so slow that you are guaranteed to lose at least 20 minutes of work just trying to connect to their library network. Now let's say you have the "luxury" to connect to their library network, you are now more guaranteed to either lose that connection or get kicked off the internet entirely every 2-3 minutes. That's the kind of internet connection they have set up in this day and age at such a part of the town. Don't worry about bringing this up with them. They give you the run around and make you feel like it's your problem and that you are the one with the bad computer. You can try it with your laptop , phone or your tablet , it all yields the same results. I truly wonder if the Piermont residents really know where their tax dollars are going because if this is definitely not how it's done at other libraries in the nearby areas. You can go to Nanuet , Nyack or even Tappan library which are all nearby and they all welcome you with a smile and heart to service. But for some reason here you get the run around when you bring up the fact that you are getting 1 Mbps speeds for the internet. The worst part is the talk down. Why would a librarian talk down on you for telling them that their internet connection is bad. Not only that why would they want to make you feel bad as if you did something wrong by asking them. I truly wonder how our tax dollars are being used at this library.
