Went here for my 29th birthday and had a blast. Lovely jazz music played as I sipped some truly delicious cocktails. Definitely hit up this place if you're in the area. The one confusing part was where it was. It's the door to the right of the Irish pub, and there's no catch phrase necessary to get in :)

I love this place, the music is amazing, the ambiance is perfect and the drinks are on point. I've been here twice and each time the bartender's customer service was exceptional. The drinks didn't take long to make and considering how busy the place gets, it wasn't long to get to order them in the first place either. It's hard to find seating in this place but if you stay close to the line against the wall on your way to the band, you can keep getting closer until one of the seats in front of the band becomes available. Sometimes they turn over fast and sometimes they don't but you'll have a good time either way. The place is hard to find or run into unlike other venues but that's part of the fun too. I didn't run into this place until 3 years after i came to the area. Check it our when you visit.

We stumbled across this place on a Wednesday night with the open mic event - some awesome musicians and a drummer who is probably the best I’ve ever seen live (and I’ve seen Phil Collins!) cocktails were absolutely knock-your-block-off strength but really nice at the same time! A must go!

A truly one of a kind place, the prohibition era is so well portrayed here, the live music is to die for and the drinks are somewhat pricey, but totally worth it for the quality. They don't make anything but good drinks here. Definitely a spot you have you check out in San Diego. Men just make sure you don't wear shorts.

Hidden away, cozy, intimate yet lively atmosphere with great bartenders and staff are just a start to what is a gem in the middle of all the craziness. It might be small, but if you make it in this little speakeasy, you could be lucky enough to experience music like the way it originated. What music seems to have left behind sadly. Maybe 30 people in total, which felt like a good size crowd given the space, all listening to what I feel was the best show I’ve been to here or any other in the past 10 years. To think, this blues band with 5 members were playing for hours in front of us, comes with what felt like a private bartender at reasonable prices, sure felt like I had won some sweepstakes contest. Young or old, didn’t exist here. People were dancing, swinging and going up in front of others, cracking jokes, truly just having a blast as a complete group of strangers. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that, and usually comes with a hefty price tag along with whatever experience. This, and there wasn’t even a cover. There aren’t places like this anymore, enjoy it if you are in the area, and I’m positive you won’t regret it.
