::My sister and I wanted to try this place, because we read up on the great reviews! Today we decided to go and try the beef tips and the fried chicken and collard greens, Mac and cheese with corn bread, chocolate cake and pumpkin pie! Well much to our surprise the collard greens were extremely salty that I only had one bite of that! And the fried chicken was very greasy and looked like it was reheated and not fresh! The beef tips hardly had any gravy! Plus they didn't even have coffee.we would have been better off going to golden corral! And as we were leaving they put out fresh chicken and other food's that looked a lot better than what we got when we arrived! That's ashamed that my sister spent almost $40 for food that we didn't even finish or enjoy! Atmosphere and music was nice!

::All I can say is: “This is SOUL FOOD!” The owners are friendly and the kitchen staff are amazing. The flavors make you feel like home and they are worth the trip! When you come to Corpus Christi, get there in time for lunch and know that a hot and wholesome meal is about to come your way! You will NOT be sorry!

::Delicious authentic soul food. I hadn't been here in years. Our supervisor took us here for a Christmas luncheon. So, glad we came. It's under new management, but the name and quality of food remains the same. Husband and wife owners came over to introduce themselves and stated they hope to move in the near future where they can keep the same hours as other restaurants, right now they have to adhere to the office building hours. They are located in the basement of the Wells Fargo building.

::Under NEW management. Food is great and the staff is very friendly. I enjoyed the experience and the decor is beautiful with awesome photo ops. Food is fresh and plenty of options. I was in Corpus for a full week for a traing conference and ate here everyday for lunch. Never disappointed and the onwers make yiu feel welcomed. Private gem known by locals but visit if you're going to Corpus Christi, you won't be disappointed. Affordable prices and home cooked food away from home.

::What an experience. The welcome sets the tone. Such warmth and the feeling of being at home. The food tasted great. Ever single item was delicious. Having the music playing and having the owner check in on you really makes you feel appreciated and valued as a customer. Will be back for sure!!!
