Been living here for about 3 months now, 3rd floor and thought I have avoided the roach problem written in the other reviews being this high up, but no. I tend to see them every now and then run across the floor as I watch TV or randomly show up on my bathroom vanity. I'm a very clean person I don't cook or really eat at home so its shocking to see them run around. You obviously get what you pay for. This place is fine for short term, but not much longer. The apartment building is located in downtown long beach can be a bit sketch unless you are by the the bars, restaurants, and hotels closer to ocean blvd. The walls in the apartment are thin and you can hear everything on the street especially the train coming, homeless people yelling, and your neighbors coughing up a lung as you sleep at night. So far the downstairs garage gate has been broken and left open for about 2 weeks in the 3 months I have been here so hopefully they fix that soon. *2/19/18 Update: Moved out and if you have read about apartment cleaning charges after move out they are true even if you cleaned. I took pictures right before I left as I thought this might happen to me too. Charges are $110 for "Apartment Cleaning" and additional $65 for "Carpet Cleaning" Take a look at my pictures and let me know how unclean it might be as I left.

Linda, the building manager, didn't notify residents of multiple car break-ins in the gated residents' lot. She later called the police to report me for littering, loitering, and harassment when I made efforts to share the information with my neighbors. Unfortunately for Linda, she was informed by LBPD that my sharing information with neighbors in a complex where I pay rent is in no way illegal.

I, personally, really enjoy living here! I am a very picky person when it comes to my living situation. I enjoy a โ€œluxuryโ€ feel for the best bargain - which, I truly think I have found here. I use the gym and the courtyard consistently and I love love love showing this place off to my friends and family. I live in a 1 bedroom (not studio) and it is the perfect amount of space for a couple! I recommend the walk-in kitchen style (which you may have to request) as it feel it makes the apartment feel so much more open! The staff is so kind and the resident events are bomb! So much good food and drinks. Linda in the office cares about what we as residents would like to see. I requested smaller weights & some mats in the gym - and she let me know that she can make that happen! Raul is very kind as well, he gave us our tour and we signed with him right away. Yes, it is downtown which has its pros (gorgeous, growing, fairly clean, and LIVELY on the weekends) and itโ€™s cons (homeless/druggies everywhere). But, all-in-all, I would recommend to a friend and am considering signing for another year here.

It's disgusting, lets start with the roaches & flies that greet you at the Tenant Entry as we move pass the entryway you will notice piss stains everywhere in common areas right along w all those "Designer" updates (translation; paint, patio furniture, fire pits and some string lighting). The "Dog Park" is a joke ๐Ÿ™ˆ and the smell!!! People do not pick up after pets (maybe because there are hardly ever bags in the despenser) and there is no "Maintenance" person either so the piss and poop just sits on top of fake grass baking up an aroama that is difficult to escape. At night there is no proper lighting so becareful not to step on the roaches (probably feasting on that baked Piss Poop Pie ๐Ÿฐ ) And finally there is a communication breakdown here, no matter how many times or different methods used, it appears to be a reoccuring issue. I ask a question in person and I'm told i will be answered via email, which never happens, so I nicely place a call to remind the office staff that i am patiently waiting for an answer. Days later and still nada, go back to leasing office speak to the "Manager" who says the other guy will get back to me via email and guess what? I never got that answer. That is just one incident. This Manager who couldnt answer a question also does not take pride in his job, his home or himself, i know this because he walked down the hallway at least twice daily (from his apt to the Leasing office) and completely ignored the hugest dead roach i have ever seen ๐Ÿ˜ฎ knowing the disgusting diseases they carry, it lay there for an entire week! As for the apartment itself, the layout 1bd/loft was great! Location also great and i enjoyed the mix of neighbors. I didnt enjoy the fleas, roaches, flies, loud mouths behind the bldg all hours of night/day, the lack of cleanliness throughout, the lack of basic customer service, no leash rules being enforced, unsafe garage and never being answered when questions are asked, literally never! I had such high hopes...๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž
