This place is the BEST!!! Get a beef double-dip, there signature home made coleslaw, a kosher dill pickle and a lemonade. It’s the perfect food!😬. Lob on a bunch of the proprietary Phillips’s mustard and you will be in food heaven. Take home a jar of the mustard, it’s also great for a unique deviled egg plate. I’ve been going here since I was born (don’t remember) but my Mum has told me I have. Totally Awesome Food!!!

Delightful, with a rich history. On the wall, thereof the skillet promised days till the comment. I worked with Swiss beef twice dipping, pea soup, pickles, and potato salad. I recommend them all. Most like a meter, you should be willing to not stumble into this article. The floor was covered with sawdust. Great place to burn an hour before or after to go to the station. In this exciting historical place, food and experience. I love the back of the room to assemble the train. Plus, many desserts to choose from past and present. This place becomes very busy and lunch before or after sports competitions, so be prepared to wait, but it's quite worth the wait! I totally recommend this place.

My first time visiting and it was great! Lines moved quickly and staff was friendly. There's community seating and if you like your privacy, you can take up a booth. Loved every bite of my NY Pastrami sandwich! It had a generous serving of pastrami and the French bread was just right. I had the dip put on the side, so I can dip top my liking. My side of potato salad was very flavorful and the lemonade was just right, not too sour or sweet. Don't forget to get your side of little yellow peppers if you want to spice it up.

Good sandwiches. Dipped beef and double dipped turkey. They also have lamb and ham. Cole slaw on good too. Lots of history and interesting stories. My server was exceptionally nice today. They cannot be as nice when it is super crowded.

We have been coming here for years! While it can be busy at times the food lines move quickly and there is almost always room to e sit and eat at the tables. Most people forget about the upstairs eating area. So if it looks packed on the main floor head up! When you get there find a line. While it may seem that some move faster then others they all move about the same speed. If you have some time walk around the inside of the building and check out the pictures on the walls of various Los Angeles history. If you come for breakfast lunch or dinner you won’t be disappointed. There are enough options that everyone in your group will find something they like! Be sure to try the French dip. It’s what Philippe’s is known for. Just be cautious with the hot mustard on tables. You might want to try a little before you smother your sandwich with it!
