It's a really beautiful old style building it's strange see how old building so tall, on top that have nice statue that you can see from every side of the city, big difference from The Old City Hall, like everything in Philadelphia if you get over here you can't miss it to see it, I'm it's right in the middle of the city very nice. I personally didn't visiting inside because I didn't have time but I'm pretty sure it's really nice inside and may you have to visit it

Almost certainly the most interesting city hall you're ever going to see, at least in the U.S. Probably also the only one that was ever the tallest building in the world. If you want a tour, though, make sure you go early. We went by immediately after lunch, and they told us that the tours were already sold out for the day.

City Hall in Philly, is seriously, one of the most beautiful buildings in the United States. It is gorgeous and as you drive or walk towards center city, you cannot miss William Penn standing at the top, looking all full of himself. But then again, he's standing on top of a gorgeous building in the middle of Philly. Of course he should be smug. When you visit, you can walk all around the area, in some areas of the building, but you simply MUST go to the top of it where William Penn stands. It is THE best view of Philly. It makes the Avenue of the Arts look like the Champs-Γ‰lysΓ©es and you forget for a second that you are in the US. Be sure to check hours before going to the top. The hours are funky and are only open Monday through Friday. Also, there are only like 4 people allowed to the top at a time. It is a small area, and trust me, you don't want a ton of people up there or you won't be able to walk around and enjoy the different views.

The entire process is really easy if you're just doing the tower tour. We did not do the 2-hour plus tour of City Hall although that sounded pretty cool too. The tower tour you buy your tickets ahead of time you do need to buy time tickets and then they take you up for people at a time in an elevator. You stay the top right under William Penn about 11 ft from the bottom of his feet. It's a great View and really nice. Some of the windows are slightly open so if it's cold out do you want to dress as though you're outside. the windows are all just crack though so it's not like you're standing out completely in the open. They say that you cannot change your time tickets but we were able to change ours in the visitor center. To get to The Visitor Center go into the East entrance which is the same side that the Residence Inn and Courtyard Marriott are on for reference. Have fun!

This building is full of history. At one time it was the tallest building in the world. Now it lies in the shadows of Philadelphia's goliaths. Many events take place here throughout the year for the community and tours are available daily. It's worth a visit while you're in the city. I would like to see some updates inside as some of the floors are dated and in need of repair. Gorgeous ceilings and columns inside will amaze you.
