The coffee and Chris are always great! And the atmosphere is one of a kind - nothing like the corporate chains around. Highly recommend!

Love Perkelat. The decor is funky and the chai was even better! Great place to stop in the skyway.

Best Vietnamese coffee and fresh bakery. Fresh and hip atmosphere. Chris is very cool.

Love these owners! Such a great contrast to the bland sky-way.

Updated review: October 2017 Chris is fickle, personalizes constructive feedback, and is unwilling to "clear up" any miscommunication preferring to hold grudges instead. I haven't been there in several months and only remember "positive" interactions; however upon visiting today, Chris's behavior pattern was not per norm for him. I tried addressing the situation, asked for explicit feedback on whatever I had done. Explained such feedback is the only way I can address inappropriate/unacceptable social behaviors living with Aspergers and that he was my friend.... Chris interrupted me stating we were not friends. His statement caused me to "freeze up" taking quite awhile for me to gather my thoughts and decide on what the appropriate course of action might be; eventually deciding to ask for "to go" containers. Prior to leaving I thanked Chris for his honesty that we were not friends and told him I knew not to return to places I was not welcome. He said okay and I left. I hold no malice for Chris nor wish him any harm. I cannot be dishonest in rating his place of business either. I wish him well and will miss the friendship I mistakenly believed existed. I have no idea regarding his wife, Kate's, current behaviors and if we were actually friends. Chris predominantly runs the place so my rating is based on the place and him only.
