Mark is a great guy and I have no problem supporting his business. Coming from someone with a large background in food safety & sanitation I can tell you first that periphery is a very well kept, clean restaurant. The food is great & the attention to detail never disappoints. Weekdays are a great time to stop in if you're looking for something a little more intimate. Also, the location is nice because you're not dealing with a million people inside the pearl or stressing over parking downtown. I'd encourage anyone reading this to stop by & support this small business, it's run by people that literally don't sleep to make sure you have something enjoyable down the street.

Terrific food sourced locally and really awesome service. Perfect place for a date; low key and romantic!

Sat outside in a very cozy dressed up "alley" (late March before sunset)...very comfortable. I would prefer the outside if the weather is as mild as it was. The menu is not extensive but that's a great thing. The chicken plate (over simplification) was large compared to the beam and carbonari risotto plate. The food takes some time to prepare but that gives more time for conversation. This is definitely a no rush linger and chat sort of place. DO NOT STOP HERE ON YOUR WAY TO A GAME OR OTHER EVENT... YOU'LL BE LATE. Take friends, family or that special someone and linger.

Great meal, and actually quite reasonable. $75 plus tip for an appetizer, two entrees, a side to share, glass of wine and two coffees. Very small restaurant, I think 10 tables but we walked up on a Saturday at 6:30pm and one reservation hadn’t showed so we got a table immediately. Great service also, a nice ambience in a quiet neighborhood. Worth visiting.

I had an amazing experience here. The ambiance is great and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an intimate date spot. Great staff and comfortable atmosphere. Chef Mark Weaver knows his ins and out of Italian food and nails it at his own restaurant. I couldn’t recommend this place more.
