  I really wanted to enjoy Penca on my first visit, but was generally disappointed. To their credit, the complimentary chips and salsa are excellent, but the Pozole I had was exceedingly bland. Others in my party were also disappointed with their food. Perhaps our numbers (we were a party of nine) on a Sunday night overwhelmed their kitchen. Perhaps they had a less experiences chef working, as it was a Sunday night. Perhaps they diluted the Pozole to accommodate 4 orders from one table. Who's to say? I'll go back, but with skepticism.

  Definitely up there as one of the top Mexican restaurants in town. The food is fresh and delicious. The cocktails are exquisite. The chips and salsa are amazing. The service could be a little bit better which is the only reason why this review isn't five stars.

  Great Mexican food and spirits! Locally owned and operated! The building is amazing..try it for Happy Hour!

  Love their food and service. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. You won't find your food smothered in pools of unidentifiable cheese like substances. Just good, fresh, delicious food.
