  Nice clean picnic area, big parking lot. Plenty of restrooms.

  Park is mostly used to host carnivals due to the huge parking lot. Little league fields are in good shape but unfortunately outfield is covered in goose poop so kids dislike playing there. Rest of park is severely under utilized. Should be redeveloped for better usage given it is right on the water.

  Well, split opinion... Great and beautiful place, BUT! Way over priced. I love it, but not always can afford it. I think they need to allow cheaper options.

  In all honesty there are much better beaches on Long Island as far as waves ,beautiful stretches of sand, concessions, nice water Etc but this is the beach closest to where I'm living right now and I have always had a good time there . Refreshing swims, friendly people, the water has been clean and refreshing( not beautiful bluish see-through water) and there are lots of rocks in the sand pretty far into the water...but that's how North Shore Beaches are ( from what I've seen and been told I'm only here 5 years ). Another big plus is in the summer months there are often carnivals on the same properties as the beach so you can make a whole great day and night at North Hemp Beach .
