::Sunset Park in Brooklyn has a splendid view of the harbor and lower Manhattan skyline. Water sprinklers in the children's playground, plenty of benches, chess / checkers tables, and a public pool. Bring a blanket, pick a spot on the grass, picnic and grab some sun. Easy access on D, N, R lines of the NYC Subway. On street parking is available. Plenty of restaurants in the area. What more can you ask for?

::It's a wonderful park. It's been renovated. It closes at dusk and there is no drinking or smoking anywhere in the park. One special thing that I love is that you can't be in the playground, if you don't have a child. Isn't that wonderful! What would someone be doing in a playground if you don't have a child who wants to play? Only Pedaphiles would do this, so thanks Sunset Park!

::A great park with a great view. There is a record center and a pool. There are plenty of benches to enjoy the view of the city. The playground has good equipment but it is overcrowded on the weekends. There is a sand pit, a car table and three jungle gyms. The main field is on a hill that is a bit patchy so bring something to sit on. The crowd is mostly families and no drama. Bring some food with you. Otherwise you are going to have to take a long walk up and down the hill.

::This park is very small however, there is lots of space for sporting activities. Basketball courts, soccer field, swimming pool, playground, etc .. The views from here are amazing, you could see downtown Manhattan very clearly. Lately it has gotten way too crowded especially on weekends so if you are planing a picnic and/or relaxing on the grass, go to a bigger park. Last I was there, teenage kids were smoking weed everywhere, you couldn't get a way from the smell even if you wanted to. There are also some places where you'll always see homeless men drunk and/or sleeping. More police should patrol this park as it has potential and could became a great little park for kids and adults alike.
