  One of my favorite places in Mount Vernon, but since they put up the new apartment complex near by the city is trying to push out the people who have spent years, even decades, and lifetimes hanging out at Hartley-- All so a few more soccer moms can feel safer... When there wasn't any risk in the first place.

  Even though it's a public bathroom on the corner we can't use, This park was a #1 park in Mount Vernon for, "Parents and their Little kids." The park was full of smiles and no problems. But police started picking up things off the ground accusing parents and children for possession of weed. The park wasn't getting cleaned. Then the city takes the only safety down and didn't replace it. The gate around the basketball court. Now kids are wasting breath chasing the basketball falling getting hurt. The grass is destroyed and the lights are dstroyed as well. I'll have pics later today. 4/6/18
