Better off avoiding this clinic. Staff claims to require Birth Certificate for new patients for insurance purposes (because now ppl who don't have BCs can't see doctors right?) Also wanted my son's social security number- required document. I refused period. I work with DRs. It's not necessary and you can refuse don't let them tell you otherwise. I took my son to their dr for a physical. Dr can't see walk ins for physicals. Np. Secretary gave me an appt for a couple of days later. Dr was squeezing me in, booked solid. She told me to come in at 830 for the dr. She told me that the system was going to call to remind me of a 940 appointment. To disregard, because my appt was at 830. The dr already had a 940 patient, but that's when the dr starts her appointments, she was squeezing me in ahead of her first avail appointment. Thursday I get to the clinic at 824 for my 830 appointment. Pediatrics isn't open. Fine. At 855 they open peds- I walk in. At 905, after two walk in patients were called to be seen I blew up. I took my son to the front and demanded to speak to the director of Pediatrics. Told the lady at the front I had a 830 appointment for my son, it's 905 I haven't seen the dr yet and they're calling walk in patients to be treated. She repeatedly told me I had a 940 appointment. I told them to look at their schedule. They are overbooked. They have 2 940s, because the only way they could put me in was to overlap with the other patient. I was told to disregard the 940 appointment and come in at 830. They insist I have a 940 and was told to come in early so they could see me then. I guess it is routine to have patients wait over 1.5 hours for their appointment. I presented the fools with my appointment card which clearly states 830 AM appointment. Even when presented with proof in the form of a written appointment card, they insisted I had a 940 appointment. They don't attempt to correct mistakes they make, not will they admit to mistakes they have made. The staff are as competent as toddlers and none of them should be working with patients. When clinical staff are unable to properly accommodate patients, they should be forthcoming and decline to accept new patients. Instead of wasting my time with them I would have taken my kids to an office equipped to accept new patients. Acting as if overbooking your schedule to "accommodate" me (but not really since you expect me to wait over 1.5 hours to see a doctor) is some great professional achievement will not gain you any favors or patients. Current patients, walk ins and new patients need to turn to alternative offices immediately. This clinic desperately needs to reevaluate their policies, and make some structural changes to their system. The only way they will feel compelled to do so is if they start losing patients and money.
