::Not so much a hike as a series of scrambles coming out of the adjacent neighborhood. No clear trail markers, you just have to follow trails where they appear and watch for those super long, crazy thorny plants. The occasional vista pops out, the fauna is cool if you like deserts but overall it's pretty average as far as hiking goes. Wish I would have had time to do the North Franklin Mountain hike, seems like a better bet.

::This is our route to 1000 steps trail, which we climb to Ranger Peak (and the Wyler Tramway). Would have five stars if it was better marked. I use my phone's GPS to keep on-track.
