While visiting the North End we chose to eat at Pagliuca's expecting an authentic Italian meal in the atmosphere of Little Italy. We were disappointed. The tiny restaurant is very cramped - typical of the North End. The service was lacking, but it was quite busy when we arrived at 4pm. The big disappointment was the food. The tossed salad was very bland and drenched in store-bought creamy Italian (even though they didn't ask what type of dressing I wanted.) I ordered lasagna... what arrived was a soggy mass of sauce and cheese. It was unrecognizable as a square of lasagna. It had completely collapsed. It tasted like lasagna, but was nothing special at all. My girlfriend chose spaghetti and meatballs because she wanted to experience authentic Italian pasta. This was no better than store bought. The plate came with two gigantic meatballs that were largely tasteless. No spices. A huge disappointment. NOT recommended.

Had a wonderful meal with a beautiful lady, she seemed very impressed as we had great service and all the food was delicious. Portions were fair and the location excellent. I would avoid the men’s room though.

We chose this restaurant on instinct and I'm glad we did. The fish was fresh, pasta house made and the chicken Felix was so tender it was cut with a fork. Friendly staff and a blessed quiet atmosphere, this was a great break from a busy week.

The food and service was good. The reason for the single star, and for me warning you to never ever come here, is the intoxicated "owner" (he said it was his restaurant). A young guy with slicked back hair. He came into the restaurant blasted music, harassed a table so much they left after 2 bites. He flirted with underage girls in our party! Him and his gang of floral shirted yes men made the entire experience of eating lunch in the North End unbearable.

The food was very average, we had ossobuco where meat tasted bland and rice and peas were way overcooked. It was also double booked so we didn't get all seatings for our group at same level. The wine was very good and staff was helpful.
