  My 1989 Mercedes 560SL has been taken care of by Overby's since it was 'born'. I trust them and their work. Rick is fabulous & honest! Highly recommend. Sharon

  I own a 1998 Jaguar XJ8. It can be difficult to find a mechanic who is competent and honest,but I had found one, but he was about 15 miles away, so it was hardship using him. One time my car broke down near home so I took a chance and took it Overby's. Frankly, I expected to be ripped off based upon what someone once told me about the place. However, after several uses of their shop, one in particular, they have won me over. One time ,a crankshaft bolt loosened. This bolt apparently secures the front pulley by shear compressive force; there is no slot and key or other shear type transfer mechanism to power the pulley. When this bolt loosened, I experienced power steering failure, coolant overflow, and alternator warnings, etc. as there was slippage to the drive pulley that runs the accessory belt. Of course, I learned all of this through them, as I had no idea what could have caused such a host of failures. They could have charged me a fortune and said it was a number of things, but they didn't. I forgot how much the bill was, but it was in the $150 range - they could have billed me $1500 and I wouldn't have known the difference. I run my law practice with integrity simply because it's the right thing to do and I feel I will be rewarded for that, by sleeping well at night and by accumulating good word of mouth and solid business over time. Overby's does the same. I recommend them to anyone requiring service on a foreign car.

  I have been bringing my cars to Overby's for close to twenty years. I have never found a mechanic or dealer as helpful and reliable as Overby's. They perform wonderful service and are careful to advise what you really need. Their expertise, particularly with older cars, is unmatched. I have come to trust them completely as they will not try to sell you parts and service that you do not need. They make every effort to squeeze you in for emergencies even though they are often very busy. They have a very loyal following, and with good reason. Highest recommendation!!
