  This Gulf Gas Station was charging an extra $.90 per gallon for credit card purchases on 11/26/2014. I see that it is now closed. A complaint to NYS Division of Consumer Protection resulted in an e mail from a Representative of this Agency in which the law was quoted justifying this by saying that,' a vendor can charge a lower price for cash'. The average price for gas at the time was a $3.10 - This station was charging $2.99 for cash and $3.899 for credit purchases. In the e-mail the ninety cents per gallon was justified by comparing it to a surcharge that is allowed by law. I am very happy to see that this station is boarded up and is no longer cheating consumers.
