  I shared a review of my first visit to Old Town Smiles as a new patient a few months back. Since then, I have had multiple visits superbly achieving all milestones in my treatment plans. Dr. Ahmed has been fantastic, and has teamed up in my care with a superb oral surgeon, Dr. Rothman (Alexandria Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery). I continue to find that all staff and all interactions at Old Town Smiles to be very warm, understanding, and professional - demonstrating enthusiasm, intelligence, and skill in the performance of their respective duties and all communications. Dr. Ahmed continues to share incredible and holistic insights concerning my particular dental health as well as cosmetics. Her attention to detail is just phenomenal! Most recently I was blown away by the results of my new "smile design" - a detailed computer simulation of predictable smile outcomes of my treatment plan which affords the possibility of tweaking smile appearance outcomes during course of treatment. I am exceedingly happy that I have joined Dr. Ahmed and her team of professionals, and I eagerly and enthusiastically the final results.

  After over 30 years seeing dentists in this practice, I did not think things could get any better, but they did. I had a cleaning appointment yesterday at 5 pm, and while I had heard of Scotch, the new resident comfort dog, I did not expect to meet him. I have been without a dog in my house for about 3.5 years, and I welcomed the opportunity to scratch behind his years while reclined in the exam chair. Scotch apparently approved of that and proceeded to hop up onto my legs and laid down. He stayed there for my entire appointment, eventually falling asleep. For the record, I am not a high anxiety patient - I've fallen asleep while Dr. Kitchen was doing the preparation for a crown - but I really enjoyed spending time with Scotch. The rest of the staff are always great, but this was the most relaxing appointment that I have ever had.

  This staff are amazingly customer service oriented, caring, communicative, go out of their way. Covid or no covid, they never skipped a beat. Personal and personable, they have accommodated so many of my families' individual needs and accommodations over many years. I hate going to the dentist. They are the only ones I have ever recommended. I don't know what I'm going to do one day when I have to leave the area.

  Outstanding cleaning and customer service! Pain-free, judgement free and patient beyond measure. True dental professionals who treat every client like family— I will not be going any place else!

  This was the BEST dental experience I’ve ever had. As soon as I walked in I felt so welcomed and valued. Everyone was very genuine which made me feel so comfortable considering it was my first time visiting the practice. Dr. Ahmed is truly a genius. She was very thorough with my exam and took the time to give me information outside of the dental practice to help address health issues that were affecting my teeth. She cared about my whole being which I really appreciated and I NEVER once felt judged. I don’t think any one ever looks forward to going to the dentist but I’m definitely looking forward to my next visit!
