We were in Lexington the state track meet and always eat here as we have had excellent service. Tonight however was a different story, it took over 25 minutes for our party of 15 to get our drinks, another 20 minutes before they took our food order, and it was over 1 1/2 hours before we got our food. We have been waiting almost 45 minutes to cash out our checks. We have been the only patrons in the restaurant for the entire night since 8:30pm. Our steaks were supposed to be medium well, and they were crispy. The New Orleans pasta chicken appeared to be lunch meat chicken. The veggies in the same type of pasta were not cooked on another athletes meal. And, the strawberry lemonade was sour, like old strawberries were used. For our athletes and coach that had never eaten at an O'Charleys, it was the worst experience and we will not be back.

The place was understandably not very full, even though the parking lot was packed. It took about 3 minutes for the hostess to walk slowly out of the kitchen to bring us to our seats. The table was clear of plates but still filthy and needed to be wiped down. My tea had an old and slimy lemon that had easily been in storage for at least 2 days after being cut and it put me off my drink. The salad had cucumber that was turning in to slime on it. When it was put on the table i just looked at it, picked it up and bent it as slime-goo ran out. The waitress apologized and said shed get me a new one... She never did. Possibly because as she left to return to the kitchen, our main course came out. Did i mention that the salad took 15 minutes? The salad tasted like a mixture of dirt and mold. It brought to mind a fridge with deep black mold in all the corners a lazy person would skip over when it was time to clean.. The main course was sirloin med rare, with a baked potato. Butter only. The steak was cooked perfectly. My props to the cook on that. The potato needed butter, but i never saw the waitress again until my wife and i gave up and decided to try to salvage the night by leaving with our "free pie Wednesday" pies to go. Management needs to walk in to that place with their eyes open and fix a LOT of issues. Its a dirty place that has bad service. I feel like i got ripped off taking my wife out for date night and paying $32 ( which would be a great deal if i didn't feel like i ate mold) for a terrible experience. Through no fault of O'Charlies the cherry on top of the evening was the brat in the next booth screaming non stop. Parents, if you have a kid in a restaurant that is misbehaving. Be considerate of other diners. Take the child outside and discipline them. It makes you look like a bad person just letting them screech and yell, while you beg them to stop. YOU are the one in charge, not them.

They layout of the store seems poorly thought out, but the downfalls are redeemed by the excellent service and fresh food. The ambiance was a classic southern style with feel good food. During my stay my waitress, Angie, was very polite and quick to serve us. I recommend visiting for a casual dinner with the family.

On vacation & stopped in for great prime rib & baked potato. Prepared just as I like it. Have it in three sizes. Delicious and tender. Service was great to.

Stopped here for lunch with 2 relatives. Had to wait about 10 minutes for a table which we didn't mind. Waiter was very nice & good at his job. I got the fried fish and chips and the fish was thin and rather soggy. It was free pie day and the pies were delicious.
