  Good stuff. Machines not super modern buy good enough for hard workout. Club feeling atmosphere. Special thanks for Antony - very professional trainer.

  Tried out the trial for a week; gym was fine but had to cancel for other reasons. Guy at front desk told me it will be handled but a week later I got charged an annual fee of 69.99 even though they promised to fees after cancellation of the trial. I have gone twice since getting charged to get it handled but everyone seems to not care and won't give my money back. Not only that, I just got charged a monthly fee of 120.00 which obviously shows me that my account never got cancelled and they are still ignoring me. Would never recommend anyone to come here due to the awful staff.

  I tried the gym out for a week and for the price and for what they offer it’s a great deal. Good atmosphere, unique club style lighting, update machines, vintage furniture /chaise lounge mixed with modern massage reclining chairs. Of course the people are friendly, but the second you tell membership staff you are already a NYSC member looking to upgrade, you are of no interest to them anymore. They barely uttered a word to me about how I could upgrade, referring me to the front desk and offering no tour of the gym or discussion on the contract. Was a shame bc I really liked this gym and I would have liked to be a member, but the membership staff seemed uninterested in engaging in a conversation.

  Really really would NOT recommend getting a membership here. I signed up with someone on the staff telling me there's a beautiful cycling studio downstairs and a ton of classes and that was completely untrue! There's no cycling studio at all, unless you'd like to sign up for Cyc and pay $30 a class.... Also, there's only one studio for classes, unless you want to pay for the Barry's-like training on mid-level. Not only that, but when I cancelled my membership I was charged the next month. I've emailed NYSC and added a note on their website requesting my money back, and I've been waiting a week for a response! Advice: Don't get drawn in by the cool aesthetic of the gym.

  When it opened I had no idea that it was an Elite location or that such a program existed. I went for about 2 weeks and really enjoyed the location with my passport membership. Then, early one Saturday morning, I walked in, while the gym was relatively empty, and was very rudely informed by the front desk that my membership level doesn't cover this location and that the people who had been letting me in for the last two weeks hadn't done their job properly. I wasn't even given more detail about the Elite membership option (I've since been able to find information on their website and it's definitely not worth it). It was a very strange experience and one that nearly made me leave NYSC and join another gym. Ultimately, I love the Ave A, Mercer & Irving locations so I'm over it, but this newly founded flagship location nearly pushed me away.
