I waited almost 2 hours to see a doctor. The doctor came in to see my daughter at 10:41 and read the notes from the computer until 10:44. The doctor then checked my baby's ears and listen to her breathing from her chest and told me she has a cold. The doctor also said that he doesn't know what she has and won't know and her fever isn't an issue because once you're vaccinated and up to date on shots that there's no number that's too high for a fever. The doctor told me to alternate between Tylenol and Motrin as needed and walked out the door at 10:46. I got no answers from the doctor and was told to do what I had already been doing. I was also told that a fever can last for a few davs so as long as the fever doesn't last 7days that my baby was fine. I don't feel like the doctor actually helped and I'm going to be billed for a 5 minute interaction that told me nothing of my baby's condition other than a generic "She has a cold. Suction her nose and alternate medicine for a fever". This was a terrible experience. I felt like none of my concerns about my daughter were really listened to and really and truly it doesn't assure me that should there be an emergency or an issue that my children will be handled with care and that my child's ailments will be treated correctly.

AMAZING staff! We had a 4 day stay with our 4 year old son that had pneumonia, the staff was absolutely amazing! Very kind and loving! They listened to concerns and explained everything in full detail! I don’t have a single complaint!

Our child was a recent hemophilia B diagnosis, and his story was that he first went to a local ER (Piedmont) who did a great job to their ability, woke up the next day bleeding shortly after, then Atrium/Levine who put him through torture to just get some blood test, then discharged while he was still bleeding, and told us to wait a week. We then went to Novant ER, finally admitted to Hemby, and was finally diagnosed with hemophilia B. Their blood test came back before Atriums did, and their care was fantastic. Thank you so much to the nurses Melody, Jen and Beth as his primary RNs, and his hematologist Ballista. He was a difficult one, being only 17 months old, but they tried their best to make his visit s great one. The amount of donations and toys provided was heart welling, and can only stress that charities like Starlight are wonderful causes, and the impact is more then any donor can imagine

We were able to get into a room rather quickly and have my son looked at as it wasn’t very busy. I believe getting the IV bolus going was the hardest part (fighting a toddler) but they were able to make it happen. The low rating was due to not getting an update for several hours after the lab results were received which caused me to have to track down the PA directly, several different times. We went in around 4pm and were discharged around 8:30pm. It’s very difficult for a family to wait in a small room like that not knowing what is going on with your child.

Rating my experience first hand with my nine month old little girl. My daughter was admitted Sunday night due to a yucky virus, that worsened as days passed. I want to applaud and thank Mike, the night nurse & Jenna the day nurse. You went above and beyond, I can’t express my thankfulness and gratitude. You both are the reason I am leaving two stars. Lauren, and the doctor (who’s name I did not catch), we’re the rudest pediatrics providers I think I could ever meet. Lauren introduced herself at 7am, and did not come back to my room until HOURS later when my daughters IV machine had been alarming for twenty-five minutes and I had to numerously use the page button. Blood work was done at 5:30am, I got an email at 6:42am stating the results were ready. (Assuming a nurse or doctor would come in to discuss them with me. WRONG.) When Lauren finally came to my room I asked her when I would be able to talk about the results, she instantly caught an ugly attitude and told me “We have a lot of babies on the floor today.” As if my baby wasn’t as important as the rest. Come to find out shortly after, my daughters IV had fallen out. Who knows when, no one checked on her the entire morning until I walked around the facility searching for someone. Not to mention, it is now close to noon and the doctor has yet to come introduce herself to me and let me know she is whom we will be seeing today. I have a few more complaints I could add, we were hardly checked on, would ask for minor things occasionally and not receive them, etc. I’m in disbelief that adults who work with babies, children, young teens, etc, can act in such a manner as if that is okay. I’m so thankful I am switching my child’s pediatrician and will be switching hospitals as well. Do your best to avoid this for your child/ren.
