  Nice spot to grab some crafty hippy cold ones. Conveniently located close to cheese curds and the comedy club! SCORE!

  To reiterate a number of other reviews, the staff is truly friendly, helpful, and courteous any time I've visited in the past. To the staff: you guys and gals rock! Unfortunately, when going to pick up some beverages the other day, I met the owner. She was so astonishingly rude and unpleasant that I almost stopped the cashier from ringing me up entirely. I was just stunned by her continued attempts to aggressively interrupt and talk over me when I tried to explain that some phones (Samsung devices) can in fact do tap-to-pay even though you may not think your current point of sale system supports it. I asked if I could try using Samsung pay to see if it'd work. If it did, sweet! We'll have all learned something new. If not, no big deal. To which she immediately responded with "No". I was then going to try to explain what I mentioned above about Samsung pay by starting to say "I could be wrong..." but before letting another word out of my mouth she adamantly exclaimed "You are." I couldn't even try explain to her that it's not Apple Pay (which she thought I was trying to use and was likely 100% correct that it wouldn't work based on previous experience with that form of tap to pay). Now I'm not a small business owner, but I'm fairly sure telling your customers they're outright wrong, and turning an otherwise pleasant experience into a conversation where the staff was visibly uncomfortable by how rude the owner carried herself, isn't the best play. And why not humor a paying customer to see if your systems support more than you think they do? I could very well still be wrong in assuming Samsung pay would have worked, but an interaction like that based on an inquiry alone is obscene. It's really a shame that this one visit outweighs all of the hard work and happy demeanor always exhibited by the staff, but I'll likely never be going back to North Loop Wine & Spirits nor recommending it to others.

  This place has knowledgeable friendly staff and a great selection of hard to find beer wine and spirits. Always a solid shopping experience.
